Darshan at Baidyanath Dham — one of the twelve Jyotirlingas — combined with the sacred Parasnath hills of Giridih and the classic "change of air" town of Madhupur. Four days through temples, forested hills, and the timeless Jharkhand countryside, with comfortable hotels and all meals included.
Itinerary
- Day 1: Howrah to Deoghar — The 1:00 p.m. Kumbha Express from Howrah reaches Jasidih by 5:00 p.m. Auto rickshaws take us to our Deoghar hotel — dinner and overnight stay.
- Day 2: Baidyanath Dham & Deoghar sights — Early morning puja at Baidyanath Dham temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. After breakfast, a full day of Deoghar sights — Naulakha Mandir, Trikut Pahar ropeway and more — with lunch on the way. Return for the evening aarti at Baidyanath. Overnight at the hotel.
- Day 3: Giridih & Madhupur — After breakfast, drive to Giridih — visit the Parasnath hills (the holiest Jain pilgrimage and highest peak in Jharkhand) and local sights. Then continue to Madhupur, the beloved old "hawa bodol" town. Check in, dinner and overnight at Madhupur.
- Day 4: Madhupur & return — A leisurely morning exploring Madhupur's gardens and local temples. Evening at the hotel; board the 9:45 p.m. Mithila Express from Madhupur station — arriving Howrah by 4:00 a.m.
Best time to visit: October to March for pleasant weather; Shravan (July–August) for the famous Kanwar mela, if you enjoy the bustle.
How to reach: Kumbha Express (1:00 p.m.) from Howrah Station, Kolkata to Jasidih; Mithila Express return from Madhupur — train fare included.
